for him is Palin. The asinine attacks on her are laughable…
Unfortunately the Joke is on us with the republican ticket that might
as well be Democrat and the Democrat ticket that might as well be
socialist. Both want way too much government… The latter acting like
government is our only hope or at least that with him at the helm it
will be . What we really need is to get the Federal Govt. out of
private business. Granted our current administration isn't helping in
this dept. The congress for all it's complaining about Bush is working
quite well with him to federalize our financial system. It appears
that with either candidate we are heading for a country that could see
capitalism as a thing of the past. I'm not sure how much less damage
McCain will do, his plans spelled out in debate don't comfort me
much,(how do you say we need to cut spending and then propose buying
out "bad" mortgages in the same sentence) but with the alternative, a
product of Chicago politics, that did nothing to reform it and using
Change & Hope as a propaganda tool to mask thinly a socialist agenda
is something we need to avoid. The style is there, the words at time
sound good, but as it is said you can tell the character of the person
by the company they keep. Do a search on William Ayers who worked
with Obama as well as hosted him while launching his Illinois senate
campaign. There are more, but you know when I get too much into
writing about Senator Obama, I get accused of being over the top. The
whole point of this posting is to just basically lament that when I
pull the lever in less than a month (okay, fill in the oval, but it
sounds less impressive) I'm going to have to hold my breath and just
vote, because for the first time since I've been voting, I can't
really stomach the thought of either one being elected. It's
unfortunately too late for an independent candidate to get in the
race. I hope I'm wrong about this, but I don't have much hope that
either one will really do the things that this country needs right
now. I can start looking forward to something better in four years.
This as always is my humble opinion. Feel free to disagree, I will not
debate or argue, if you have a different opinion. I will however read
& consider any response.
